The best wedding videographers in Edinburgh will keep your love on replay!

Quality and Style: I selected wedding videographers who create and film content in high-definition, offering a range of formats and styles.

Credentials and Experience: I selected videographers with a minimum of 5 years of experience and service clients within Edinburgh and even abroad.

Communication: I chose videographers who are prompt in their responses and maintain smooth communication during the planning stages. I also focused on those with a reputation for being supportive, ensuring clients feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

Range of Services: I chose studios that offer a wide range of services such as editing, drone footage, highlight reels, and footage in different kinds of film.

Wedding videography is absolutely essential when planning your big day. If you were to ask me, I’d say book your preferred videographers at least a year in advance—no hesitation.

Wedding films are the cinematic mementoes of one of the biggest days of your life. Sure, I treasure all the stunning photos from my wedding, but there’s something about rewatching the wedding film that makes the memories hit differently.

If you’re on the hunt for the best wedding videographers in Edinburgh, look no further. My absolute favourites are below!

How much do wedding videographers in Edinburgh cost?

Hiring a wedding videographer costs about £550 for half-day filming (4 to 6 hours) and upwards of £2,500 for full-day filming (8 to 12 hours).

Rates vary depending on the shoot duration, location, scope of work, and equipment the studio uses to shoot content.

One Shot Films is run by a talented husband-and-wife duo. Their passion shines through in every frame, creating personal and unique films.

I’ve seen their work at venues like Cornhill Castle and Oran Mor, and they adapt seamlessly to any setting. A standout feature is their use of drone footage (when conditions allow), adding a cinematic touch that elevates your memories.

Delivered in stunning 4K via a personalised website, their films include up to 12 minutes of beautifully edited highlights, with the option to keep all raw footage for every treasured moment.

That said, full-day filming and a second videographer are only included in their highest-tier package. It would’ve been nice if these were offered as add-ons rather than being tied to the priciest option.

Pros

  • Drone footage
  • 4K resolution
  • Films come with personalised website
  • Option to keep raw footage
  • Large network of venues

Cons

  • Full-day filming and second videographer are only available through the priciest package
  • Pricey

Absolutely amazing to work with

“Adam and Kinga were absolutely amazing to work with, everything they done for us on our wedding day was second to none, they captured everything perfectly, from the teaser trailer to the speeches to the main video. Everything was absolutely amazing. They’re such a lovely couple and I cannot recommend them enough.”

Friendly, hardworking, and flexible

“We would highly recommend Adam and Kinga. They were friendly, hard working, flexible and engaged. They captured our wedding day perfectly and without any hassle. We asked for a videographer who would capture the day but not be noticed much by the guests and that is exactly what we got. They were also very open to us changing our mind about what package to give us which was much appreciated!”

I can’t recommend Fern Photography enough! My best friend chose them for her wedding videography, and it’s easy to see why. Their vibrant, natural, and playful style truly brought her day to life on film.

Founders Dan and Matt have an amazing way of blending into the background, capturing candid moments so effortlessly that you forget the cameras are even there.

They cover everything from cosy elopements to grand weddings, and their eco-friendly ethos is a nice touch.

However, if your venue is a bit off the beaten path, be prepared for extra planning and fees for travel.

Another thing to note is their pricing—£200 per hour with a two-hour minimum. While that’s perfect for smaller events, it might stretch the budget for full-day coverage.

Pros

  • Offers hourly rates
  • Best for bright and colourful concepts

Cons

  • Additional travel charges
  • Pricey

Great attention to detail

“Matt did the photos for our wedding, as well as 2 lots of family photos as our family has grown. He’s a great photographer, taking really beautiful, natural, colourful photos every time. Very good at putting us at ease to get nice relaxed photos. We’ve always had very professional service from Fern, great communication. I highly recommend it!”

Professional and helpful photographer

“We were very happy having chosen Fern Photography for our wedding photos. The whole experience felt personal, relaxed and well-organised from the start. On the day itself, Matt fitted right in, made everyone feel comfortable and somehow managed to take wonderful photos of a bunch of people who are usually quite shy around a camera. Thanks so much!”

The Edinburgh Wedding Video Company was my aunt’s first choice for her remarriage earlier this year, and it’s clear to see why.

At £619 for full-day coverage, the pricing was fair.

My aunt’s wedding was intimate and straightforward, and she wanted a videographer who could capture the ceremony and reception exactly as they happened—no extravagant edits or frills.

She was thrilled with the highlights reel, which captured all the key moments and reflected her preference for simplicity and authenticity.

However, I felt it could have used a bit more creativity and length. The video was just over a minute, and she deserved more time in the spotlight!

If you’re after creative shots or cinematic edits, this might not be the studio for you. But if you’re like my aunt and want straightforward, fuss-free wedding videos, they’re a great choice!

Pros

  • Best for simple and authentic footage
  • Affordable packages

Cons

  • Short reel
  • Not suitable for stylish wedding films

Excellent professionalism

“You made our daughter’s wedding video perfect and this was because of your obvious professionalism on the day. Your team worked so hard and always looked in control. The finished product is superb. Thank you so much.”

Great video and sound quality

“Amazing work by The Edinburgh Wedding Video Company. We could not be more happy with our wedding video, so big thanks to the team. The picture quality and sound quality are amazing, and it is all edited together so well.”

Videography packages start at £520 for half-day filming and £820 for full-day coverage. A package includes two cameras for key moments like the ceremony, speeches, and the first dance, with up to 9 hours of coverage.

The final product? You’ll receive a full HD video of about 1 to 1.5 hours, plus a highlight reel with your chosen soundtrack.

Just a heads-up: if you’re thinking about adding any extras, be prepared for some hefty charges. And for all the weekend wedding enthusiasts, there’s an extra fee for those days too.

Pros

  • Award-winning photographer
  • 1 to 1.5 hours of footage

Cons

  • Weekend surcharges

Kris is lovely, and he blended in so seamlessly with our guests on the day, yet captured everything so perfectly. Finlay Bowmaker is one of the top up-and-coming wedding videographers in the city, and after working with him at my sister’s wedding, I can see why his calendar fills up fast.

He’s not the cheapest with full-day coverage starting at £2,000, but the results made every penny worth it.

His video package includes a gorgeous 3 to 5-minute highlight reel, covering everything from the wedding prep to the first dance, with 8 to 10 hours of filming.

The final video comes in a beautifully crafted box, which is a lovely, personal touch that’s perfect for keeping as a memento.

One thing to note: book early! He’s in high demand, and my sister had to juggle her schedule to fit him in. If you’re thinking of booking him for both photos and video, do it. He excels at both!

Pros

  • Beautifully crafted videos
  • Offers both video and photos

Cons

  • In demand, hard to book
  • Expensive

Phenomenal videographer

“Fin was an incredible videographer at our wedding day at Figtree Restaurant, Byron Bay in June this year. He is very talented in what he does, the quality of videos he produced exceeded our expectations and then some! Fin was very generous with his time before the wedding, explaining the way he works and the process involved. He was very approachable and understanding in our needs for the video. We were impressed by the quality of the highlight video we received, which captured all the special moments and people throughout the day. Fin was very professional with his audio and video equipment, and directed us appropriately to create the best possible angles and frames, even though he never felt obtrusive. Overall, we’re more than happy with the experience we had and the content we received and we wouldn’t change a thing!”

– Kateryna Baibakova, Google Review

Makes you feel comfortable

“Couldn’t thank Finlay enough with all his efforts. I was let down by another videographer and with little help from a friend she reached out to Finlay and he was more than happy to help and deliver. He’s such a lovely guy to work with and made us feel relaxed and comfortable on our wedding day, there was no pressure to do anything that we didn’t feel comfortable doing with a camera pointing at us.”
